A smarter way to commute is on the way.
As part of the Climate Pollution Reduction Grant (CPRG) initiative, CARTS will launch two new commuter routes beginning March 2, 2026, linking Georgetown/Round Rock and Smithville/Bastrop directly to downtown Austin. These routes offer commuters a cleaner, more efficient alternative to driving alone—helping reduce traffic and congestion on our highways.
