DRUG FREE WORKPLACE

CARTS has a drug & alcohol-free workplace policy, and in accordance with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) regulatory requirements, applicants for safety-sensitive positions will be required to undergo drug testing prior to employment and will be subject to further drug and alcohol testing throughout their employment.

Vehicle Maintenance Technician

Diagnoses, repairs, conducts preventative maintenance, and test drives, buses and other vehicles. May report to down vehicles to make repairs. Full Time Position

Drivers

Across our region, CARTS provides many types of transit services such as paratransit, fixed-route, on-demand, and intercity. 

The type of service determines the Texas Driver License that will be needed for a given Driver position. CARTS employs CDL and Non-CDL Drivers.

Various positions (with different requirements) may be available at each worksite location.

Even if there are no current openings in your area, you are welcome to apply.  Applications are kept on file for 3 months to fill positions as they open and candidates are called to interview by the application date.

Typically, Driver hiring/training takes place once per month.
