CARTS Announces New On-Demand Service in Lockhart

Lockhart, TX – The Capital Area Rural Transportation System (CARTS) and the City of Lockhart are excited to host a ribbon-cutting to introduce the launch of the new on-demand transit service, CARTS Now, in Lockhart, Texas. Lockhart residents can request rides using the CARTS Now app, which will pick them up within 15 minutes of booking and take them to their destination within the Lockhart service area. For a limited time, CARTS Now will operate for free in Lockhart to encourage new riders to try the service.
 
The community will have the opportunity to join the event and get a first look at the CARTS Now van and enjoy refreshments, giveaways, and activities. Guest speakers will include the Mayor, Lew White; the City Manager, Steve Lewis; and the CARTS General Manager, David Marsh.
